Uh Oh Spagetti-O
One of my fave sayings with grand-toddler, that always makes us both giggle, is Uh Oh Spagetti-O. And boy, was this a week for that. I had made my plans for fun New Year Eve activities kids can enjoy – including my cute grand-toddler. I had printed out our goodies. But Oyyyyyy – it’s definitely been one of THOSE weeks! Grandkids were SICK with capital letters! One with a bad cold and one with a nasty tummy bug! UH OH SPAGETTI-O! NOTHING got done except lots of cuddling, strollering, and occasional watching of Cedarmont Kids and Baby Einstein, which I happily discovered is free via my Amazon Prime Video!
I did get fun things prepared – most of which will NOT get used by us this coming week, as they were for New Year’s Eve. And I’m still catching up so I’m not writing a lot today. But I thought y’all might enjoy the links I found and the Bible verse pictures I made.
Jesus Loves Us SNOW Much
Our theme was to be SNOW! And I thought this would be a fun start for it.
This cute kids snow clip art was created by Little Reds Clip Art at Etsy! Such a great resource! 🙂
If you have older kids and grandkids than I, it’s SNOW much fun to substitute SNOW for so. Hence my title, Jesus loves us SNOW much! Grand-toddler would never have gotten it and I would not have used it. But I had fun thinking it as I worked on these projects. 🙂

Contact paper fun
I drew a snowman with face and buttons onto the non-sticky side of contact paper. When next he comes over, I’ll take the paper off the sticky side, and let him fill the snowman with cotton balls, and use fruit loops, stickers, etc. to add eyes, mouth, nose, etc. Then we have Chenille pipe cleaners for arms, if he is interested.
New Years’ Noisemakers
I spotted one post about a very involved noisemaker with a paper plate – more than grand-toddler can handle. But it did give me the idea to fold a paper plate in half, Staple around the edges almost all the way. Let him fill it with the little Christmas bells I have left. Finish the stapling and voila, an easy-to-make noisemaker for New Year’s Eve afternoon.
New Years’ Hats
My older grandkids and I have enjoyed making a variety of hats in the past for different holidays, including New Year’s Eve, using construction paper.
Clock Face Smiles
Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock – Wooden Educational Toy
We have the Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock puzzle. New Year’s is a great time to use clock puzzles, clock face printables, etc. to talk about time and how the time will be the same but the year will change.
Yummy Fun
Cookie Dough Snowmen
I made cookie dough ahead of time for once in my life, only to find out little one was too miserable to make OR eat them. BUT if he had, we would have enjoyed making cute snowmen and “painting” them white with frosting.
Play Doh Fun
Play dough was another plan – with my numbered cookie cutters ready to chop out 2019. Not to mention, even more snowmen!
By the by – have you tried this? First I’ve heard of it, but doesn’t it look like FUN!
Floor modeling clay – Reuseable Indoor Snow – Mr. & Mrs Snowman Set With Endless Creations and 22 Molding Accessories. Too old for grand-toddler this year but NEXT Christmas….hmmmmmm…. 🙂
